Along with photography you will also be immersed in the history, culture and traditions of French life in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. 161 Photo Experiences are based in a lovingly restored 400 year old house in the middle of the picturesque village of Verteuil. The Charente river flows by and includes a working water mill. The village’s 12th century chateau towers above and continues to be a family home. You will get to know Sebastian, owner of the wine cave and life-long village resident. The bread and croissants will come from the village boulangerie and we will eat in the local restaurant. There will be opportunites to photograph and explore the village. Day trips will be taken by train to photograph in the region's towns and cities. These will further add to enhance your experience, with visits to markets, architectural highlights, and cafes, as well as exploring the ancient streets and alleys, squares and shopping districts. All of this will provide for endless inspiring photography opportunities in both rural and urban locations.
